Buy Airfare - (The most expensive time to travel is in the summer, but also the best weather in Moz.)

  SAA from U.S. To Johannesburg, South Africa, then to Maputo, Mozambique.

  Then take LAM to city within Moz.

  Int’l Airfare allows more weight than domestic Moz. Moz only allows one 50 lbs suitcase plus a carry-on.

Take along a VISA care to withdraw from ATM’s.  (You may also want a Mastercard to withdraw at a bank)

Take extra U.S. Dollars hidden in good places.

Prepare for Malaria - Purchasing Bite-Blocker is a must.

   A.  Take U.S. doctor recommended pills as a prevention when in the country.

   B.  Purchase malarial preventative at a pharmacy in the country or only if you are diagnosed.

Make a list of all contact #’s and schedules needed during travel and make extra copies.

Make copies of all legal documents you’re taking.  Leave a copy at home and take 2 copies with you.

Make sure your “Last Will and Testament” is up to date.

If you travel in June to August, take a sweater for the 30-60 degree South Africa weather. Moz is warmer

Take extra items - Klennex to double as T.P., Basic medicines - anti-fever, anti-diarrhea, ...

Get lots of rest and drink as much water as possible on the plane.

Take a deep breath and relax.  The unexpected is most likely to happen!  Time is viewed differently here.
