"We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done...  Then they would put their trust in God and not forget His deeds but would keep his commands"  Ps 78:4,7

I (Daniel) grew up in Brazil and speak Portuguese fluently.  The Lord began to work in my heart at 16 years of age in Brazil. While praying for the Lord to “send out workers into His harvest field” (Mt 9:38), He opened up an opportunity to share the gospel with six teenagers.  Four of them turned to Christ! The next years, before coming to the US, brought fruitful labor in two churches and a number of other youth being saved. The Lord has patiently continued to grow me and enable me to spread the good news and strengthen others.

I (Melissa) grew up as a religious Roman Catholic, depending on my works for God’s acceptance. In my late teens, due to the witness of friends, I saw from the Bible that no one is good (Rom 3:10-19). "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" therefore "the wages of [my] sin is death" (Rom 6:23) and eternal separation from God in the lake of fire. God’s only provision for complete forgiveness of sin was through the blood sacrifice of Jesus (Rom 3:24; Heb 10:14), who alone lived the perfectly righteous life.  I repented of sin and trusted solely in Christ (Rom 4:5; Lk 18:13; 2 Cor 7:10) (Melissa will be greatly used in Mozambique along-side Daniel and in mentoring other women (Titus 2:3-5).

Our children are maturing wonderfully in the Lord. We look forward to what God will do in their lives in Mozambique. We have been home-schooling them for the past 10 years. Some of the greatest people who have influenced us in our family growth have been Michael and Debbie Pearl (www.nogreaterjoy.org) and those at Vision Forum (www.visionforumministries.org) in seminars such as "Building A Family That Will Stand", "Uniting Church And Home", and "My Son, Give Me Your Heart."
